Ascendix RE provides the ability to automatically calculate the Rent Table periods for your Landlord and Tenant rep deals as well as Lease records. 

To have the Rent table automatically generated we need to provide the values for the following fields: 

• Rent Type
• Size (SF)
• Lease Commencement
• Lease Expiration
• Lease Rate /SF

By default each Rent table period will have the Duration of 12 months. If you want to have custom rent period duration length, please specify that under Period Length(Months) field. 

Once Rent table is generated each period has the following values auto populated: 

• From date * - starting date of the each period
• To date * - end date of the each period 
• Duration - the duration of the given period (from From date to To date) 
• Rent * 
• Rent per month * 
• Total rent  * 

 * - mandatory fields; Rent and Rent per month are no longer required individually — at least one of the two must be filled in to save the period.

The calculation of the Total rent is defined by Total Rent calculation value. 

You can make changes to the values above and remaining values on the Rent period record and add new periods manually. Please note, that once you introduce the changes to the values on the Rent Table periods the Total rent will be recalculated. 

note: at any stage you can trigger the regeneration of the Rent table with the data on the Deal. Please note, that the existing Rent table periods will be overwritten. 

Rent Table review notice
If a Rent Table has a gap between periods, overlapping periods, or a period with no rent value, AscendixRE shows a non-blocking notice on the Deal or Lease prompting you to review the table. The notice does not block saving a period, the Deal, or Deal close — it's a prompt to double-check the table, not an error.

Rent Table inheritance from Deal to Lease
When enabled by your administrator, closing a Tenant Representation or Landlord Representation Deal carries the Deal's Rent Table directly onto the Lease created at close, instead of calculating a new one from the Lease's own fields. If you change Size, Lease Rate /SF, Lease Commencement, or Lease Expiration on the Deal Close page itself, the inherited Rent Table reflects those updated values. A Lease that already has its own Rent Table is never overwritten by this behavior.

Ask your administrator whether Rent Table inheritance is turned on for your org.
