This guide provides detailed steps for admin users to specify the scale used for decimals in rent table calculations. The scale can be adjusted via custom settings.
Default Behavior:
- If no specific setting is applied, the system will default to a scale of 2 for rent table calculations.
Steps to Specify the Scale:
1.Go to Setup:
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner to access the Setup menu.
2.Search for Custom Settings:
- In the Quick Find box on the left, type Custom Settings.
- Click on Custom Settings from the search results.
3.Manage Settings:
- Find the Settings.
- Click the Manage button next to the appropriate setting.
4.Click the Edit button to modify the settings.

5.Set Rent Table Calculation Precision:
- Locate the field labeled Rent Table Calculation Precision.
- Enter the desired scale value (e.g., 4 for four decimal places).
- After entering the new value, review your changes to ensure accuracy.

6.Click the Save button to apply the new scale setting.
Important Notes:
- Adjusting the scale will affect how rent calculations are displayed and processed. Ensure that the chosen precision aligns with your organization's reporting and financial practices.
- If you need to revert to the default setting, simply delete the custom setting or set the precision back to 2.
