Converting emails to records with Harvest

The Harvest solution lets you turn incoming emails into your Salesforce records with minimal manual data entry.

From a single forwarded email (or an email thread), the system can:

    • Detect what kind of information the email contains
    • Propose new records for your Salesforce, that may include (based on what your admin pre-configured):
      - AscendixRE objects
      - Custom objects configured in your org
      - Service Cloud & Sales Cloud objects
    • Let you review and edit the suggested records
    • Approve the records in one click

Each email creates one Record Request Set that may contain multiple records pending approval.

    How to use Harvest
You can use the feature in two ways:

    1. Email forwarding rules configuration:
      - you preconfigure forwarding rules as per the corresponding user guide (using email address provided to you by your admin). Once emails to your configured email address is received, the system automatically parses its content using LLM for Record request set creation.
    2. Ad-hoc email forwarding:
      - you forward a single email you received to an email of the designated parsing address (provided to you by your admin), and the system automatically parses its content using LLM for Record request set creation.

Once the Record request sets have been created, you can review the records and validate them. To see the list of record request sets, navigate to Harvest by Ascendix app in your Salesforce, and open Record Request Sets tab.

    Reviewing email attachments
If a forwarded email includes attachments, Harvest parses their content into the suggested records and shows each file as a tab next to the email body. See Reviewing email attachments in Harvest.
