The Mass Edit feature in the Editable Grid allows users to modify multiple records at once, reducing the time and effort required to update each record manually. This guide will provide a detailed overview of how to use this new feature effectively.

When using the Copy From feature, users often paste existing data into tables where not all values are relevant for every deal. Previously, users had to manually change the values of specific fields, a time-consuming task. The Bulk Edit feature introduces a more efficient process, allowing for batch editing directly in the Editable Grid, similar to the functionalities in Ascendix Search.

Selection and Editing
Users can select multiple records by clicking on the checkboxes next to each record:

• Single Record: Clicking the "Edit records" button opens the standard Edit dialog.
• Multiple Records: Clicking the "Edit records" button with two or more records selected opens the Bulk Edit dialog.

Bulk Edit Dialog Features
 

1. Select the records you want to mass edit by checking the checkboxes and clicking the pencil icon.
2. The modal window displays a list of all editable fields, and users can add more fields via a dropdown menu containing all editable fields. Unnecessary fields can be removed by clicking the x sign next to each.
3. The changes will be saved by clicking the Save button.

Notifications and Error Handling

• For edits involving the Declined status in the Interest field, if Declined is selected, users must add and specify the Declined Reason in the dialog.

Limitations

The maximum number of records that can be updated simultaneously is 500. If a user selects more than 500 records.
